Granite, Quartz and Marble Worktops
A granite, quartz or marble worktop really is the finest finishing touch you could add to any new kitchen. With a wide selection of colours and styles to choose from, all at surprisingly affordable prices.

Granite Kitchen Worktops
Granite is an igneous rock of volcanic origin which is coarse grained in structure. It is composed of 30% Quartz, 60% Feldspar and the remaining 10% Mica and Amphibole minerals. This gives Granite it’s hardness, which makes it resistant to wear and tear. These minerals occur in different amounts which give each piece of Granite it’s own colour and structural pattern. Making each piece unique here at Optima Stone.

We have a large selection of Granite on display in our showroom and yard for the customer to custom make the project of your choice from your self chosen piece of Granite.

Quartz Kitchen Worktops
Quartz is made from 93% natural quartz and 7% colour resin. With similar characteristics to granite, quartz worktops are stain and scratch resistant, hard-wearing and hygienic. Colours are all uniform.

Marble Kitchen Worktops
Marble worktops come in a range of beautiful colours. Marble is not as hard-wearing as granite or quartz and is not stain resistant. Greater care is needed for such a worktop which is usually chosen for its unrivalled beauty rather than it’s durability.

Worktop Ordering Process
Here at Longford Fireplaces and Worktops, we focus on your specific needs and we specialise in bespoke solutions for your worktop requirements. We are able to quickly move a project forward with much of the manufacturing (including cutting and polishing) being dealt with onsite. This makes us able to meet tight deadlines for time sensitive projects.

The Process

• Send us your plan for a quotation.
• Choose your preferred material and colour from our showroom selection.
• Make an appointment to have a kitchen survey.
• Your worktop is then manufactured.
• Final step is installation.
