About Eco Fuels

Cork Eco Fuels is a privately owned Irish company, located near Bandon, Co. Cork.

Our company was established to meet the growing need from consumers for a carbon neutral fuel for open fires and stoves.

The EcoBriq is made from woodchips and sawdust, both waste products from the timber industry, which is then compressed to make a constituted log which can replace firewood. The natural lignin in the wood binds the particles of wood together to form a solid. Burning a wood briquette is far more efficient than burning firewood making them an effective renewable source of heat.

Our EcoBriqs can be burnt in your open fireplace or enclosed wood stove or range making them application friendly. This product can also eliminate your disposal costs as the ash can be used as a fertiliser on your garden lawn as it contains the same components as domestic fertiliser.

What is the EcoBriq?
The EcoBriq is made from woodchips and sawdust, both waste products from the timber industry, which is then compressed and extruded to make a reconstituted log which can replace firewood.

The natural lignin in the wood binds the particles of wood together to form a solid. Burning a wood briquette is far more efficient than burning firewood, making them an effective renewable source of heat.

Our Eco Briqs can be burnt in your open fire place or in an enclosed wood stove or range making then application friendly.

How to use the EcoBriq
Step 1: Place 2 EcoBriqs on the base and 2 – 3 briqs on top of these in the opposite direction.
Step 2: Place a standard firelighter in the middle of the base briqs and light.
Step 3: Sit back and enjoy the lively flame of the briqs.

Caution: Please exercise caution when dealing with flammable items.
Closed Appliances: Only a MAXIMUM of 5 EcoBriqs can be burned at one time in all closed appliances. Please do not exceed this amount.
