Wood Floor Warehouse was founded in Ireland in 2001. Our first shop began as a warehouse and showroom in County Down. Our aim was to bring a large selection of quality wood and laminate floors to customers across the country at prices not previously available. We were able to do this by purchasing all our floors in bulk directly from the manufacturers, cutting out any middle men. The shop was an instant success and demand pushed us to open our next store in Belfast, just two years later.

Soon, our company grew and grew, picking up a loyal customer base along the way with customers ranging from home owners to architects, designers, builders and tradesmen. In 2008, we launched our website which helped us to reach out to customers in every corner of Ireland. An engineered floor is made up of a real wood veneer top layer of varying thicknesses and then a base layer of either plywood or HDF. The base layer is always made from a stable material which reduces the amount of expansion that the wood top layer can do. This keeps movement to a minimum allowing the installer to fit the floor using an underlay, or in an environment where a solid may not be suitable.
