The lights mark the official start of Christmas for the residents and businesses on the square. Sponsored by ESB, the lights were turned on by An tArdmhéara, Críona Ní Dhálaigh and ESB Executive Director, Group People and Sustainability, Pat Naughton along with children from Merrion Square's Hedley Park Montessori School.
