An Bord Pleanála has been given go-ahead for a new €160 million women's and children's hospital in south Dublin.
Landmark Developments and the Beacon Medical Group will build the 120-bed facility adjacent to the UPMC Beacon Hospital in Sandyford.
550 people are expected to be employed during the construction phase, while 450 people will be employed at the facility when the building work is finished.
The hospital, which will be privately operated, can be used by both private and public patients.
