It has emerged that stolen plant machinery worth one million euro has been recovered by police in the Irish Republic.
Tractors, excavators and mini-cranes were among the machinery recovered near Balbriggan, north Co Dublin last weekend.
It is believed some of the equipment was stolen in England this year.
Detectives from the Gardai National Bureau of Criminal Investigation's Stolen Motor Vehicle Unit raided lands and warehouses near Balbriggan at around 8pm on Friday night while police officers from Laytown in Co Meath provided back up for the operation.
Over a dozen machinery units were discovered and a spokesman said: "No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
"A search was carried out at lands and warehouses near Balbriggan and during the course of this search, 15 plant machinery units were discovered including Tractors, Excavators and Telehandlles (Mini telescopic crane)."
