Kelly Urged To Respond After Irish Water's Bonus Scheme Revelations

Fianna Fáil is calling on the Environment Minister To make a response following the exposure of Irish Water's bonus scheme for top executives.

The revelations came to light in RTÉ's This Week programme.

Deputy Cowen commented: "The bonus regime that has been revealed today in documents seen by RTÉ's This Week will leave taxpayers outraged. The Government repeatedly told the Dáil that Irish water would not develop a bonus culture - this development exposes those assurances as cynical and untrue.

"The Government and Minister Alan Kelly need to take a stand on this issue and make it clear that this bonus culture will not be tolerated. Minister Kelly needs to state unequivocally that Irish Water will not be paying bonuses."
