New Build
Aerobord is already prepared for the next change in building regulations and can offer products suitable for these requirements and beyond. Their Platinum range of insulation has products designed for use specifically in each element of your project to ensure the delivery of designed thermal values. For example, their Cavity Fill insulation board is the only rigid board designed to utilise cavity wall construction to the full, allowing maximum insulation values and maximum performance.
Innovation
Aerobord’s development team is working hard on your behalf to provide new cost effective ways of meeting the onerous demands of building regulations. Together with our Scandinavian design partner Aerobord can offer passive house floor insulation standards with the innovative Foundation Isolation System, Supergrund. Suitable for light, medium and heavyweight construction this insulation system provides a complete thermal barrier against heat loss through the floor of your home.
Passive House Standards
Aerobord’s range of products can be used to achieve low energy or even passive insulation standard. Wall U Values as low as 0.13 w/m2k can be achieved with traditional construction methods while 0.1 w/m2k can be achieved with external insulation. Our insulation has been used on several passive house projects throughout Ireland. Please contact our technical department lowenergy@aerobord.ie for further details. Our staff will also be able to assist you with your choice of renewable energy options including Solar Thermal, Solar PV and mechanical ventilation systems.
Refurbishment
Aerobord is responsible for the management of their Ecobead network of installers. The Ecobead Insulation system is a combination of high performance insulated beads locked into a tightly packed honeycomb matrix with a waterbased adhesive. Ecobead is approved by the Irish Agrement Board. Operated by Aerobord Ltd. In the Republic of Ireland and Springvale in Northern Ireland, Ecobead is the technology leader in loose fill cavity wall insulation. With over 50 years of combined experience insulating Irish homes Ecobead has consistently innovated to provide affordable and sustainable insulation solutions.
Ecobead Platinum has a finished thermal conductivity of 0.033w/m2K. As air is the insulating gas Ecobead is guaranteed to sustain its thermal performance over the lifetime of your project. Even then Ecobead retains its sustainable credentials being 100% recyclable.
Ecobead is simple to install and will not contribute to site waste. Our technicians will discuss your insulation requirements, ask you a few simple questions about your home and then talk you through the process. After that you won’t be disturbed until it is time to hand over to you, the completed documents.
