Originally formed in 1939 as a small sand and gravel business, the company has grown over the decades to become one of the largest precast manufacturers in UK and Ireland.

Still 100% Family Owned O’Reilly Concrete specialise in the Design, Manufacture and Erection of Precast Frame Buildings. Our ‘Total Precast Structures’ are being used for many types of construction including Schools, Apartment Blocks, Parking Structures, Retail Developments, Office Blocks and Student Accommodation

In 2003 the company opened O’Reilly Oakstown Environmental, providing wastewater treatment solutions for both the domestic and commercial market with their award winning BAF wastewater treatment system. O'Reilly Oakstown also manufacture Rainwater Harvesting Systems, Agricultural Retaining Walls and Oil/Water Separators.

In 2008, the O’Reilly Group opened its state of the art paving factory ‘Barleystone Paving’ at Shercock, Co Cavan. This €12 million investment brought the finest manufacturing technology in the paving industry to Ireland and has enabled the company to break into the UK market for the first time

The O’Reilly Group have also seen their core precast business grow in both Ireland and the UK over the past 5 years. With a strong in-house technical design team the company has experienced significant growth in the UK especially with their precast and prestressed walls, precast columns and hollowcore flooring.

We recently worked with O’Reilly Concrete on both Blackfriars Road and Woodberry Down, London. For both of these projects O’Reilly Concrete replaced the original RC Column design with a Precast alternative solution which had significant impact in reducing our construction time and labour costs for both projects. They carried out their scope of works with an outstanding level of service from design stage through to site delivery. O’Reilly Concrete were contracted by Galliford Try to supply and construct a new 30,000sqft Post Primary School in Hull.

O’Reilly Concrete have been contracted to work with Sisk on the Capital Dock Development in Dublin.

Capital Dock is a visionary urban quarter that brings fresh cultural and commercial energy to the heart of Dublin Docklands, extending over 4.8 acres. 100, 200 and 300 Capital Dock are three LEED Gold standard office buildings at the heart of Dublin’s South Docklands that collectively offer 343,483 sq ft of premium office accommodation.
Primary Care Centre – Summerhill, Co. Meath

O'Reilly Concrete are providers of Precast Concrete material and structures for a new primary care centre at Summerhill in Co Meath. The site is in a dense urban environment. The structure is articulated as three separate blocks, with movement joints, that vary in height from one to four storey. The building mediates between the busy street of Summerhill and the two storey residential accommodation located on Rutland Court to the rear.

The structure consists of precast beam, column, walls, precast stairs and hollowcore floors with and without structural screeds. The precast design is intricate and complex to meet the requirements of a Tower crane on site with limited lifting capacity and the entire structure above ground level is built off an isitu reinforced beam and column framed basement. The insitu reinforced beams are designed only to support the ground floor slabs and associated loadings. The precast structure has been formed over column supports only, with the structural load path designed specifically to transfer directly to the basement columns. To achieve the design extensive temporary works designs were incorporated in the construction of multiple cantilevered sections and overhanging floors.
The Primary Care Centre footprint amounts to 4300m² and includes a basement car park.

The plan layout reflects the narrow site. There are three ranges of rooms arranged around two longitudinal corridors. A central service zone and two perimeter zones of naturally lit and ventilated rooms. Stairs and lifts are located in the central zone while voids provide light and ventilation to the otherwise internal corridors.
