Tarmac Driveway
Tarmac, short for tarmacadam, is made when a layer of crushed stone or aggregate is coated and mixed with tar. This mixture is laid and then compacted with a vibrating roller to form a smooth surface.
Asphalt Driveway
Asphalt has a similar mixture to tarmac; however, it actually consists of less external materials, making it slightly harder wearing.
Driveway Sealing
Tarmac is subject to wear due to tyres driving on them frequently and the weather. We use traditional bitumen tar sealing on existing driveways to prolong the life of a driveway and bring much needed life back.
