Products
Grant’s diverse and sustainable product portfolio includes the award-winning HVO Biofuel compatible Grant Vortex condensing oil boilers, highly efficient Grant Aerona R290 air to water air source heat pumps, Grant pre-plumbed and integrated hot water cylinders and modern heat emitters – including aluminium radiators and underfloor heating. All products are manufactured using the highest quality materials and are designed not just to meet, but to exceed all relevant performance and environmental standards. Grant’s R&D team is continually developing new and innovative heating technologies.

Grant HVO Biofuel Compatible Grant Vortex Condensing Boilers
The award-winning Grant Vortex range is available in internal and external variants and comprises 22 models with outputs from 15 – 70kW. All new Grant condensing boilers have been future-proofed to use HVO biofuel by making a slight modification to the boiler. Older Grant condensing boilers can also be adapted to HVO biofuel; these modifications can be carried out by a service engineer during an annual service.

Grant EZ-Fit Flue Range
This universal flue system suits all Grant condensing oil boilers, and the latest range of EZ-Fit flues has been developed to make installation both quick and simple, whilst ensuring trouble-free operation – even in the most exposed site conditions. A series of videos about this range can be found on the Grant Ireland YouTube.

Grant Aerona R290 Air Source Heat Pumps
The Aerona R290 air-to-water heat pump has been designed specifically for the climate in the Ireland and UK. This innovative system utilises R290 refrigerant, an energy-efficient, natural refrigerant with an ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP), delivering a low-carbon, environmentally kinder heating solution. The Aerona R290 range is available in five outputs ranging from 4kW to 16kW, and its ultra-low sound levels have been recognised by the internationally acclaimed Quiet Mark. The Aerona R290 range also features a built-in immersion and high-capacity 9m head circulation pump.

Grant Pre-Plumbed & Integrated Hot Water Cylinders
This high-efficiency hot water storage solution range is designed to heat water faster and more efficiently than standard cylinders. All pre-plumbed and pre-wired features are conveniently located to ensure quick and easy installation. The cylinders operate effectively with Grant Vortex condensing boilers and the Grant Aerona R290 air source heat pump range.

Modern Heat Emitters – Grant Afinia Radiators and Grant Uflex Underfloor Heating
Grant’s efficient heat emitters ranges include the Grant Uflex underfloor heating system and the Grant Afinia aluminium radiator range. Designed and developed with the end user in mind, these heat emitters are designed and manufactured to support the overall design and architecture of the space whilst complementing the main heat source, whether that be a Vortex condensing boiler or a renewable heat source like the A+++ Grant Aerona R290 air source heat pump.

Delivering compliant, high-performing residential developments begins long before first fix at the concept and pre-construction stage. For contractors and project managers, early-stage heating system design plays a critical role in protecting programme timelines and safeguarding project budgets.

When heating strategy is finalised too late in the process, it can lead to redesign, emitter resizing, and procurement delays. By contrast, structured system design carried out early on provides clarity across project teams and supports smoother delivery on site.

Long established within Ireland’s home heating sector, Grant has further strengthened its support for main contractors, consultants and design teams by investing in advanced digital design software to enhance its free-of-charge Heating Design & Specification Service for new-build homes and multi-unit residential developments. The service has been widely used across the industry for many years, valued for its detailed heat loss calculations, technical accuracy, regulatory awareness and practical, time saving approach. The introduction of the upgraded software builds on this foundation, by enabling faster turnaround times, improved consistency across large-scale projects and clearer documentation for contractor review.

Using the enhanced digital platform, Grant’s technical specialists carry out in-depth room-by-room heat-loss calculations, detailed emitter sizing and complete pipework circuit layouts. Automated calculation workflows reduce design time while annotated schematics and clear layout drawings provide project teams with structured specifications that can be reviewed, costed and integrated early within procurement programmes.

For low-energy, NZEB and Passive House standard homes, the system introduces advanced hydronic optimisation features, including automatic pipe sizing with flow-rate and pressure-drop calculations, alongside built-in system balancing. These capabilities support greater installation accuracy and reduce commissioning complexity.

Installer-ready outputs form a key part of the service, including schematic drawings, underfloor heating layouts, pipe circuits and material schedules. Standardised documentation improves communication between consultants, subcontractors and site teams supporting accurate first-fix installation.

The enhanced service continues to support compliance requirements, including the production of S.R. 50/MCS compliant heat-loss documentation, assisting contractors in demonstrating alignment with relevant building regulations and NZEB performance requirements while minimising late-stage design revisions.

Central to many new-build specifications is the award-winning Grant Aerona R290 air-to-water heat pump. Achieves A+++ ErP ratings, with SCOPs up to 4.88. The Aerona R290 heat pump is capable of 75°C flow temperature, however correct system design will ensure that a lower more efficient flow temperature is utilised. With outputs ranging from 4kW–16kW, the Aerona R290 range offers flexibility across varied property sizes and types.

By combining enhanced digital design capability with structured technical support, Grant’s Heating Design & Specification Service helps to clarify strategy early on for project teams. In supporting these teams, they can deliver compliant, efficient and future-ready homes across Ireland.
