SOLAR

In 2009 we set off as a Solar Photovoltaic Specialist, installing Solar PV Systems throughout the Northern Ireland. A London Investor noticed potential within KES Solar and invested 15 million into a ‘Free Solar’ project. This successful venture lead KES Solar to become the market leader with over 5500 successful installations to date.

Following the success of the solar, with all the expertise on hand KES entered into the biomass market. This resulted in a rebrand from KES Solar to KES Energi. By the end of 2016 the renewable energy sector in Northern Ireland had taken a major hit and we noticed a gap in the market for modular construction. Following the successes in this market KES Energi introduced the very first Energi Cabin. This venture resulted in the opening of our manufacturing facilities in Omagh and a major increase in employment to meet demand. KES Energi then rebranded to KES Group.

PLANTROOMS

The Austrian brand ETA partnered up with KES Group to supply biomass heating solutions across Ireland. Biomass technology is a heating solution fuelled by wood to deliver significant reductions in heating costs whilst providing effortlessly responsive heat for domestic and commercial use. With further research into the Biomass market is became clear that space was a massive problem faced by commercial clients for Biomass heating systems. This got the team at KES Group thinking and with furthered research we introduced the very first ‘Energi Cabin.’

The Biomass Energi Cabin range consists of two options, the i-Line Cabin and the K-Line Cabin:

The i-Line Cabin is for domestic and commercial use. It combines a plantroom and pellet store for one or more biomass boilers. The cabin is complete with a state of the art fibre cement weatherboard. This cabin has a contemporary look that is stylish, durable and maintenance free.
The K-Line Cabin is robust and durable and ideal for rural and agricultural settings. This cabin is covered in a powered coated aluminium. It holds an energy plant containing one or more ETA Biomass Boilers with a fuel transfer system and appropriate buffer tank.
Due to the increase in demand for these cabins, we introduced our Fossil Fuel Plantrooms. With currently employing expertise in these fields it made sense to expand our product range of prefabricated energy centres.

For this venture KES Group had to hire a team of professionals (architects, engineers, electricians, plumbers etc) to work closely with clients in the Planning, Design, Construction & Fit Out of the project. This process enables our team to create a bespoke Energi Cabin that is exactly specific to the requirements of the client. It’s our intent to provide a consumer experience and create something that will benefit our clients now and in the future.

Due to the booming success of the Energi Cabin it became obvious that there was an gap in the market for bespoke energy efficient modular buildings that were convenient, high quality and quick. Therefore, in 2017, SmartBuild was born.

SMARTBUILD

The art of SmartBuild is to design a building bespoke to our client’s exact requirements. The SmartBuild brand is extremely versatile. It offers a product range for all sectors; Domestic and Commercial. SmartBuild enables full control from design to completion so the end product is fit for purpose. Constructed and designed in-house before being delivered to site ready for final installation. As a result, the convenience and uniqueness is what makes Smartbuild stand out.

To conclude, the expansion of our product offerings has lead KES Group to expanding premises and employment numbers. We have secured a 10 acre commercial site in Strabane in conjunction with Invest NI. Phase one of this project consists of a 40,000sqft state of the art manufacturing facility which will accommodate our head office and part manufacturing facility. Consequently, this expansion allows us to meet customer demand and enter into new exciting markets within the offsite construction industry.
