Collins and Curtis Masonry Ltd have been producing high quality stone products for customers across the country since 1925. We directly employ dedicated master craftsmen with decades of experience, so combine traditional methods of masonry with new techniques to provide the highest quality stone products.

Collins and Curtis offer a complete service from survey to installation as either main or subcontractor. We have a reputation for providing quality products at competitive prices and are focused on caring for our customers, to ensure they are delighted with the products and service they receive.

Our highly skilled stonemasons convert limestone and sandstone blocks from many quarries, into a variety of products. We supply all types of natural stone-masonry using both British and imported Limestones, Sandstones, Granite and Marble to restore existing and construct new structures. Working from our purpose-built factory in Ipswich, Suffolk our masons produce high quality bespoke natural stone products from blocks of stone (up to approximately 4m3 and weighing 10 tonnes) which are cut to size using our primary, secondary and profiling saws. All work is hand finished in our workshop.

Recent projects include Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, St Albans Cathedral, Westminster and Gonville & Caius Colleges in Cambridge and numerous churches in East Anglia. Our projects have recently won the Civic Trust 2018 AABC Conservation award, The King of Prussia Gold Medal 2018 (highly commended), RIBA National Award 2017 for Conservation, RICS East of England Award 2017 and RICS National Awards 2017 for Building Conservation (highly commended).

Architectural Stone
Collins & Curtis have considerable experience in providing bespoke architectural stonework for new build and refurbishment projects. We supply stone to many buildings in Cambridge and London and across the south east. We provide a complete service from survey to installation, as either main or subcontractor. Architectural stone-masonry works include all types of structures including Historic, Ecclesiastic, Monumental as well as sympathetic additions to buildings. We are happy to provide stone at any stage in the construction process, including to architects and designers at feasibility stage. Ecclesiastical Stone
Our experience in supporting specialist Ecclesiastical contractors is unrivalled. We will provide expert advice on the choice, suitability and availability of stone for use in ecclesiastical projects.

We can produce stonework from your templates or equally provide a templating service by arranging to visit the church or cathedral to inspect and measure the job.

Stone memorials
Our dedicated craftsmen can create a completely unique and bespoke memorial to your specification. Alternatively, if you are not looking for a completely bespoke memorial, you can look through a selection of catalogues and view samples of stone to find your perfect memorial tribute, which we will hand carve or engrave to your design.

Residential stone
We create stone wall panels, flooring and hand carved items to add unique features within your home or building. We also produce stone cills, coping stones, stone balustrades, fireplaces, flooring, kitchen and bathroom worktops and other items unique to your home or building.

Stone Fireplaces and surrounds
Our dedicated craftsmen regularly produce highly detailed bespoke fireplaces. Whether you would like your new fireplace to become the main feature within the room or a sympathetic addition, we will create a unique fine fireplace to your specification. We are happy to meet you, take measurements, discuss your requirements and provide our expert advice on the almost endless possibilities that are available. We can offer expert opinion on the choice and availability of stone from the quarries and even arrange a trip to a quarry or supplier so you’re able to choose your own stone.

Stone Worktops
Collins and Curtis supply and install stone worktops for developers, private home owners and contractors. Our customers enjoy the peace of mind that our skilled stonemasons will create high quality products at our competitive prices.
We are happy to supply only, supply and fit, manufacture to your templates or provide our own templating service. We have a range of granites and marbles in stock and are happy to provide samples. We are also able to arrange a visit to our stockists for you to choose the exact material and actual slab of stone for us to purchase on your behalf, process it in our workshop and then install it in your home.
