So Why Workplace Fire Safety Training Anyway?
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 states that employers must ‘ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of his or her employees’.

Whats Is A Competent Person In The Workplace?
By its legal definition in Section 2(2) of the 2005 Act., A competent person should possess sufficient training, experience and knowledge having regard to the task and the size or hazards (or both) of the undertaking

FIRE WARDEN TRAINING
FST fire warden training, also referred to as a fire marshal training courses are required by law in the workplace by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Fire Services Act 1981.

A fire warden is a chosen and designated competent person whose responsibilities in the workplace are to have an awareness of current legislation while understanding site specific risk assessment, fire triangle behaviour together with evacuation procedures and fire extinguisher training.

HOT WORKS SAFETY TRAINING
Hot works safety training is required by law. A hot works course educates employers & staff in vital fire watch skills plus fire risk assessment knowledge.

Under Section 19 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 every employer shall identify hazards, assess risks and have a written risk assessment, including any unusual or other risks. To comply with Section 19, employers are required to carry out risk assessments and to record these in the Safety Statement. A fire safety risk assessment should be conducted. Fire prevention should form part of this.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING
Fire extinguisher training provides vital knowledge in how to put out a fire. Our fire extinguisher course is delivered onsite from experienced fire fighters.

Their proficiency to provide portable fire extinguisher training is second to none.

MANUAL HANDLING COURSE
A manual handling course is essential to employees who perform pushing, pulling, lifting and a variety of other daily physical tasks.

Manual handling training is a legal requirement and is delivered onsite nationwide by FST professionals.

FIRE EVACUATION PLAN
A fire evacuation plan and, fire evacuation procedures in general, form a more than an essential part of FST Solutions fire safety training.

A building evacuation plan is very much skill dependent and therefore performing regular staff drills and refresher courses is very important.
