About Moy Solar
Moy Solar is a family-owned solar PV Panel installation company based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. Our mission is to make renewable energy accessible and convenient for homes, businesses and farms across the West and North West of Ireland. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to be a reliable source of information and advice for anyone exploring solar PV panels as an energy source.
How does solar PV work?
In this section, we have included all the components that could be configured in a Solar PV system and a brief description of how it all works and fits together. While everything included could be implemented together, the system can also run with various combinations depending on the customer. We will work with you to tailor your combination during the consultation at your home, when we will configure a system design that is best suited to your specific energy requirements.
Solar PV panels
Solar panels designed to generate electricity are commonly known as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and are the preferred type of panel in recent times due to their efficiency. These innovative panels harness the power of sunlight to produce electrical energy, which can be directly utilised to power your home or business. Moy Solar specialises in the installation of Astroenergy Panels, which offer a best-in-class, sustainable and eco-friendly source of power for your energy needs.
Solar Inverter
Solar inverters are essential components of solar PV systems, converting the DC output from solar panels into the AC electricity used in homes. For customers opting for a system including battery storage, we recommend the Sig Energy Hybrid, which will be paired with the Sig Energy Battery outlined below, for its AI-Optimised features and to future proof your system. For customers opting for a system without battery storage, we install Ecoflow Powerocean Hybrid Inverter for their efficiency & reliability.
Power your appliances
You can use the energy you generate to power your electric household appliances, as the system produces the energy. This will significantly reduce your dependency on the grid and protect you from rising energy costs.
