Rayco Fireproofing & Passive Fire Protection is a Wexford-based specialist applicator of intumescent paint, fireproof coatings for structural steel, and certified fire sealing and fire stopping systems throughout Ireland. We deliver thin-film and thick-film intumescent coatings to 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire ratings on beams, columns, cellular beams and steel decks.

Our crews install third-party certified passive fire protection packages — intumescent paint to structural steelwork, fire stopping of service penetrations, linear gap seals, cavity barriers, fire-rated boarding and spray-applied fireproofing — backed by full RAMS, COSHH and photographic handover records for main contractors, fit-out teams and facility managers.

Intumescent Coatings Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing applies thin-film intumescent coatings to structural steel across Ireland, providing 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire ratings while preserving the visual profile of exposed steelwork. Our applicators are trained on Sherwin-Williams, Jotun, Nullifire, AkzoNobel and Hempel systems, working both on-site and at off-site shop-applied finishing facilities. Every project includes substrate preparation, primer compatibility checks, DFT (dry film thickness) measurement and a full inspection report.

Fire Stopping & Compartmentation Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing installs certified fire stopping and compartmentation systems throughout Ireland, sealing service penetrations, linear gaps, head-of-wall joints and compartment breaches in line with Technical Guidance Document B. We work with Hilti, Rockwool, Promat, Nullifire and Knauf systems, providing project-specific fire-stop schedules, installer ID tagging and photographic records of every penetration installed.

Cavity Barriers Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing supplies and installs horizontal and vertical cavity barriers across Ireland, restricting the spread of fire and smoke within concealed building voids. We work on rainscreen façades, timber frame separating walls, suspended ceiling voids and roof voids using certified open-state and closed-state cavity barrier systems from manufacturers such as Siderise, Rockwool and Tenmat. All installs are completed by trained operatives with project-specific drawings and photographic records.

Fire Doors – Supply & Install Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing supplies, installs, inspects and remediates certified fire doors throughout Ireland. We work with FD30, FD60 and FD90 rated doorsets from leading Irish and UK manufacturers, ensuring every doorset is installed in line with its third-party certification — including frame, intumescent seals, smoke seals, hinges, closers and ironmongery. We also carry out fire door surveys and remedial works to bring existing buildings into compliance.

Fire-Rated Boarding Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing installs fire-rated boarding systems across Ireland for the encasement of structural steel, ductwork, lift shafts and service risers. Using Promat, Knauf, Siniat and British Gypsum systems, we provide 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire ratings with full system warranties. Boarding is often the preferred option where intumescent or spray fireproofing is unsuitable due to environmental, access or aesthetic constraints.

Spray-Applied Fireproofing Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing provides spray-applied fireproofing services across Ireland using both cementitious vermiculite and gypsum-based systems. Spray fireproofing is highly cost-effective for concealed structural steel and concrete elements in commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects — providing fire ratings of 60, 90, 120 and up to 240 minutes. Our trained applicators use calibrated equipment with thickness control, environmental containment and full DFT inspection reporting.

Structural Steel Protection Ireland
Rayco Fireproofing provides full structural steel protection packages for new-build and refurbishment projects across Ireland. We carry out steel take-offs from architect and structural engineer drawings, calculate the required dry film thickness for each section based on Hp/A factors, and deliver the most cost-effective combination of intumescent coatings, spray fireproofing and fire-rated boarding to meet the project's fire strategy. Every package includes detailed inspection records and a compliance handover pack.
