The NI Housing Executive has completed two modernisation schemes in Magherafelt totalling £1.4m.
The projects focused on the Westland estate in Magherafelt and Crawfordsburn in Maghera.
District Manager Eddie Doherty said major improvements were carried out on 25 homes in Westland Gardens and Westland Road.
This work included upgrades to kitchens, bathrooms and the installation of oil central heating.
Electrical and plumbing services were also redesigned along with a range of internal and external repairs and general maintenance.
"At Crawfordsburn, we made improvement to the exterior of eleven bungalows," said Mr Doherty.
"We carried out external cladding, structural repairs, new roofs, new external doors, windows servicing, painting and repairs to paths and fences."
He added: "We acknowledge that good housing contributes to the regeneration and sustainability of rural communities.
"We are delighted that we have been able to invest over £1m in improving quality and condition of our homes in this area."
