CIF Appoints Safety Trainer

A Kildare-based firm has been selected as the Construction Industry Federation's preferred supplier for safety training.

Shorcontrol Safety said its appointment indicates the high standard of training and value for money it provides to all CIF members.

The Construction Industry Federation has been working with Shorcontrol Safety and others to create a list of 'CIF Preferred Training Suppliers' for all the mandatory training elements in the 2006 Construction Regulations and the 2008 Quarry Regulations.

Shorcontrol Safety (www.safety.ie) has been selected to provide training for signing, lighting and guarding, and location of underground services.

This training is available to all CIF members who can also avail of special discounts when booking.

Shorcontrol Safety will also be providing additional training courses as certified by FÁS FETAC, CSCS, IOSH, RoSPA, CPC and the IOA over the coming months.

These include:

  • Confined Space Entry Including Escape & Working Breathing Apparatus
  • FAS FETAC C3 Confined Space Training for Operatives
  • FAS FETAC C2 Confined Space Training for Supervisors
  • IOSH Managing Safety
  • Driver CPC Module 1
  • FETAC Level 5 Occupational First Aid Training
  • CSCS Signing, Lighting and Guarding at Roadworks
  • CSCS Location of Underground Services
  • Lifting Equipment Inspection
  • HIAB Training Course
  • Refresher Forklift Training
