Proposals have been made for a new 384-capacity car park in Malahide.
Fingal County Council said the development would form an extension of the current paid Bridgefield car park, in Malahide Demesne.
The proposed works will involve the extension of the existing car park and include 16 new special needs spaces.
A council spokesman said the car park will be surfaced using a combination of porous paving solutions and macadam.
Along the southern and eastern boundaries, a new 1.8m high solid bar railing will be constructed with pedestrian gates and a hedge.
"This will allow the car park to operate outside of the normal opening and closing hours for Malahide Demesne," he added.
A drawing showing the location and extent of the works is made available for inspection until Friday 4 December 2009 at Fingal County Council offices.
