Bord Gáis To Reduce Prices By 8%

Gas prices in Ireland are to be cut by 8% from February, the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) has announced.

The drop will include the residential sector, as well as for small and medium-sized businesses and represents the third reduction in a matter of months.

The CER evaluates international market prices, as well as national factors, before determining the price of gas.

The combined reductions means that householders will, on average, pay 30% less for the gas than they did in 2008.
