The owners of a leading Irish property website has announced its expansion into the Polish market.
Daft Media Group, owner of Daft.ie, hopes to benefit from the "positive brand recognition" of it’s flagship title amongst the influx of Polish people who have arrived in Ireland to live and work over the past decade.
The new website, Daft.pl, has launched with approximately 60,000 properties covering every major city and town in Poland
The Polish market represents significant potential for the Daft Media Group, with Warsaw alone being home to two million – almost half of the total Irish population. The country has an total population of 38 million.
Commenting on the launch, Judyta Holubowicz, Business Unit Manager, Daft.pl said: "We see this expansion into Poland as being a very positive move for Daft. There is so much potential in this market and we hope to build on the strong link that exists between Ireland and Poland. We expect many of the Polish people that have had positive experiences using Daft over the last few years will help spread the word back home. All in all we’re very excited to be moving into Eastern Europe and we’re anticipating great success in this market."
Daft.ie, is Ireland's largest property website. In 2007, over €60bn worth of Irish property was listed on the site.
