CPI has announced the passing of the SBI Burn Test EN 13823 of its E:zero E500 open-cell insulation foam.
The foam achieved "excellent" SBI test values, especially with regard to very limited smoke development, zero burning droplets, and overall good resistance to extreme heat. Copies of the certification documents are available for E:zero applicators and end users such as architects, builders, and homeowners.
Dirk Benthien, General Manager of CPI Europe, commented: "Passing this test was another milestone in our desire to make the best open-cell foam available to customers throughout Europe. E500 insulation foam leads the way in terms of performance, low environmental impact and long-term energy savings. The E:zero brand was created to highlight the potential contribution of PU foams to realizing the post-carbon society."
CPI is a leading company in the North American foam market. The company also has two European service locations – in Ireland and Germany.
