Supermarket giant, Tesco has begun work on the construction of a new petrol station at Drogheda Retain Park.
The station is the chain's first in the north-east.
Upon completion, the project will create 15 jobs within the 24-hour forecourt, which is being built close to the entrance of the retail park.
Confirming the news, a Tesco spokesperson said the eight-pump Drogheda petrol station will join 15 other Tesco forecourts which are situated across Ireland.
The new station is expected to be open by late March/early April.
