A Dublin-based American firm could raise up to $92 million (€69 million) in a planned NASDAQ floatation.
IronPlanet, which runs online auctions of used construction equipment, set up its European headquarters in Blanchardstown 18 months ago, according to a report in the Sunday Business Post.
The company has filed a pre-flotation registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, although it has not finalised a date for the listing or said what stake in the firm will be listed.
In 2009, IronPlanet sold 30,000 pieces of equipment online for a total of $458 million.
The company has 16 members of staff in Ireland and plans to expand.
