A new catering facility is on the way for Co Mayo with a restaurant development planned for Ballina.

Builders will enjoy a modest fillip when the expanded development is approved as it consists of the construction of a mixed-use building, which will form an extension to a building previously granted permission under p08/2934.

Permission is also sought for some alterations to that previous planning permission p08/2934.

The additional area shall consist of retail/commercial use at ground floor level together with restaurant use.

The proposed restaurant shall incorporate areas for the sale of hot and cold food for consumption on and off the premises, kitchen areas, stores and sanitary accommodation.

The first floor area shall consist of areas related to the restaurant that include sanitary accommodation and storage areas.

The first floor shall also include two apartments together with another one on the second floor.

Permission will also include connection to all public utilities and any necessary siteworks.

The development is planned for Teeling Street and Diamond, Ballina.
