Property Maintenance Jobs Plan

Insurance mediation and property repairs specialists insuranceworks.ie has unveiled plans that will create up to 200 new jobs throughout Ireland on both sides of the border, 80% of these new positions will be created in the highly depressed construction sector.

This plan will represent a much needed uplift in the construction sector which has seen up to 100,000 people laid off since the onset of the recession. The positions are aimed to be filled by the end on 2012.

Insuranceworks.ie is a Dublin based company specialising in assisting members of the general public with property related claims and the associated repairs. Whilst the insurance industry has come under the financial strain of dealing with the massive upsurge of weather related claims over the last two years, another strain not noted in the press is the lack of manpower available to deal with the processing of these claims and also the structure needed to manage the repairs on these properties.

A direct result of this lack of structure and manpower some homeowners can be forced out of their properties for up to 12 months

Insuranceworks.ie director Joe Doyle said: "We plan to develop a nationwide crew of up to 50 minute men, these will be tradesmen and professionals available at short notice that although not employed full-time by the company they will be on stand-by in the event of an emergency such as flooding, storm and the massive expanse of freezing and burst pipes that the country has seen during last Christmas.

"We are currently in negotiations with a subsidiary of InvestNI which is responsible for bringing businesses and creating employment within Northern Ireland and we also aim to engage in discussions with local authorities and councils in order to allow them avail of our services in the event of emergency."

Mr. Doyle also went on to advise that the remaining 150 jobs will be full time permanent positions throughout the entire country mostly through the establishment of a number of regional offices, with a number of franchises being available to local tradesmen within their own areas all over the country both north and south of the border.
