Lisburn Craftsmen 'Get A Handle On' Doors

A creative approach to design is opening new doors for Lisburn-based Shore 4 Doors.

The family-owned business has specialised in the manufacture and supply to trade of kitchen doors since it was first established twenty five years ago.

Times – and designs – have changed dramatically and this month the company is preparing to launch two new contemporary ranges at the UK's biggest trade show, KBB London.

Stephen Megrath, General Manager of Shore 4 Doors, based at Moira Road in Lisburn, said: "We have to recognise that being based in Northern Ireland could put us at a cost disadvantage when most of our market is in GB.

"However we've worked hard to deliver value and we are discovering that our combination of quality craftsmanship and innovative design more than make up for the distance disadvantage.

"Here in Lisburn we are still able to employ committed tradesmen who take pride in their work which we feel gives our products a decided edge.

"While everyone is looking for value, customers across the country seem increasingly receptive to products that will stand up to the rigours of daily life and maintain their good looks; that's what's needed with kitchen doors.

"We also demonstrate our confidence in our product with a no-quibble five-year guarantee.

"Shore 4 Doors is launching two completely new ranges at KBB London: the high gloss acrylic faced de Novo range and the equally innovative Impressions high gloss painted doors, each with colour co-ordinated accessories.

"Both ranges were tremendously well received at test-market stage and we are confident that we will return from this massive trade exposition with fresh orders," he said.
