The main contractor has been appointed for the the construction of an all weather GAA pitch, at Stepaside, Co.Dublin.
Works by Wills Bros are to include topsoil strip of the entire field, removal of half the topsoil off site to another park, cut and fill of existing subsoil, subgrade preparation, subbase preparation, drainage (to include on site attenuation areas), macadam surfacing, synthetic surface installation, fencing, ballstop netting and floodlighting.
The value of the scheme is in the region of €500,000.
According to www.unearthore.com all surface water drainage shall be retained in SUDs soakaway structures on site. Additional works include levelling of the remaining area of site, a path around the perimeter of the site and all reinstatement works including grass seeding.
Work is currently progressing on site and the contract period is 30 weeks.
