There's a plan to spend over €900,000 on an environmental improvement scheme in Co Donegal.
It is proposed for Creeslough where a facelift will see nearly €1 million being invested after approval was granted for an environmental scheme for the village.
Donegal County Council has given the Gre, Cresslough, Co. Donegal approval for the village fillip.
The work will include a pavement strengthening on the N56 through the village with €560,000 provided by the National Roads Authority.
Work is expected to begin in September and should be completed by the end of 2011.
The work will include the upgrade of the car park in the village, tree planting and the placement of ducting being to allow overhead cables to be put underground.
The approval of the scheme follows a public consultation in the town in May 2011.
The scheme was officially approved on Monday, May 30, by a meeting of Donegal County Council.
