Westmeath Joiners Target UK To Fight Recession

Dunnes Workshop Ltd Rahugh, Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath, a firm established in 1903 as a joinery company specializing in the manufacture of superior quality external and internal joinery, is targeting the Irish and U.K markets.

"We have worked with many builders and joinerys in the UK since the early eighty’s. We are members of The London Irish Construction Network (TLICN) through this network we have sourced new work and are working very hard to secure more business and contacts in the UK," said a spokesman, whose product and skills include traditional sliding sash windows:

"Made entirely from selected hardwoods , our sliding sash windows include the ultimate in draught sealing systems and are supplied with Argon filled Low E double glazing as standard. Our windows are available with traditional weights and cords or modern heavy duty spring balance systems with a wide range of traditional or modern style glazing bar profiles to choose from. Factory applied finish is available in selected colours.

Casement windows: With double draught seals , double or triple glazing , multi-point locking systems, factory applied coating to selected colour , our casement windows offer exceptional quality in modern or traditional style."

On external doors and entrance screens, he said: "We specialize in the manufacture of bespoke doors , traditional and Period Style entrance screens with an extensive choice of tracery , elliptical arches, modern and traditional locking options. All our external doors are 57mm thick.

"We offer a wide range of external folding door units incorporating Siegenia or Centor E3 folding door systems.

Offering the ultimate in smooth operation and weather sealing for even the most exposed locations."

On stairs: "We specialize in supply and installation of superior quality bespoke staircases in a wide range of styles and timbers and including Cut String , Closed String, Curved String, Spiral, Open Rise etc. Our design team provide advice and assistance at the design stage."
