A huge multi-million Euro road project in Co Wexford is on the road to fulfilment with news this week that Wexford County Council has €24 million allocated to them to progress the Clough to Oylegate and New Ross bypass projects.
County Manager, Eddie Breen informed a recent meeting of Wexford County Council that 'notices to treat' have been served and the Council valuers are currently in negotiation with individual landowners.
A number of properties have already been acquired. It is thought that all necessary lands will be acquired by 2012.
He also informed the members that the Moneytucker to New Ross project has now been deferred pending clarification on the funding for this road.
