Planning permission has been refused by Donegal County Council to Paul McAuley recently for the construction of a petrol station at Rossgier, Ballindrait, Co. Donegal.

The plans detailed the following:

(1) A petrol filling station and canopy, incorporating a shop with deli area, storage and staff facilities. The works shall include provision for a car wash and car parking facilities, signage, underground fuel tanks and all associated site works.

(2) Re-location of vehicular entrance to serve development previously approved.

(3) Proposed upgrading of adjoining regional road to include, re-alignment, widening and provision of a right hand turning lane.

(4) Provision of a new primary treatment system with connection to percolation area and other associated works approved.
