€500,000 School Extension On Way

The main contractor has now been appointed for the construction of a new two-storey extension at Baile an Ghóilín, Dingle, Co. Kerry.

The development work to be carried out by Ned O'Shea & Sons Construction Ltd comprises of the demolition of the existing single-storey classroom building, alterations and extensions to the existing school by building a new two-storey extension consisting of 2 No. classrooms, arts and crafts room, offices and toilets, with dormitory accommodation on the upper floor and all ancillary siteworks.

Work progressed on site during early August 2011 and the contract period is estimated at 9 months. Sub-contactors will be appointed in due course.
