County Down-based contractors Glasgiven Contracts have commenced work on the construction of a new 16 classroom two-storey school and ancillary associates spaces in Enfield County Meath.
The new school designed by Kilkenny-based architects, Anthony Reddy Associates calls for the demolition of the existing school building & ancillary structures, the retention of one temporary classroom, retention of rear boundary wall, the construction of six additional temporary classrooms & ancillary spaces, the retention of 1 no. existing temporary classroom, the construction of a new entrance, roadway, bus set down areas & parking spaces, play areas, entrance wall & gates, boundary treatments & all associated site works & the removal of all temporary accommodation from the site upon completion of the works.
Construction work is expected to take in the region of 16 months to complete.
The development will measure 2,398 sq.m. and will be located on a 1.36 hectare site.
