FP McCann has been directly involved as a main supplier of aggregate based products to joint-venture contractors BSG Civil Engineering Ltd & Williams Industrial Services, on the upgrade of the Water Wastewater Treatment Works at Killynesse Road, Magherafelt on behalf of their client Northern Ireland Water.
A consistent schedule of stone and readymix concrete deliveries from Knockloughrim quarry has been in place from the 28th February 2010 and is due to be completed in September.
This project represents an £8 million investment required by N.I Water to improve the water and sewerage infrastructure in the Magherafelt area.
The quarry's proximity to N.I Water's Magherafelt site, in addition to the scale of the project resulted in a scheme which FP McCann was eager to be involved in. To date, 4665 tonnes of stone and 6664 cubic meters of concrete have been delivered to site.
BSG contracts manager Mr Paul McSparran stated: "FP McCann has provided a consistent, reliable service to this scheme since February 2010.
"To meet the deadlines in place, concrete pours were required throughout the night; FP McCann provided a service which was flexible and able to meet these out-of-hours demands."
