Green Light for €7.3m Mixed Retail Development

Galway County Council has approved planning permission for a mixed use retail and restaurant development for Townparks, Co. Galway.

Designed by GHS Consultancy, the development will include an anchor retail unit of 4,300 sq.m. gross floor area, together with alcohol sales area, hot deli counter area and staff areas, 3 retail warehouses, drive through restaurant, together with delivery areas, public recycling area, pedestrian footpaths, taxi rank area and bus shuttle set-down/pickup area, cycle stands, 360 car parking spaces (110 surface and 250 basement).

The application also provides for ancillary signage, esb substations and transformer rooms, vehicular and pedestrian access points, basement car park access units, boundary railings, internal security.

The development will measure 9,040 sq.m. and will be located on a 6.41 hectare site.
