The Department of Education & Skills has lodged planning permission for the development of a 2,479 sq.m. sixteen classroom school development at Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada, Griffeen Road, Lucan Co. Dublin.

Designed by Derry based architects, Mullarkey Pedersen, the development will incorporate staff room, multi purpose rooms, principal's office, sanitary and ancillary accommodation and general purpose hall with food servery to replace existing temporary accommodation.

Works on the project also include the provision of 15 temporary classrooms to be removed upon completion of new school building; proposed site works to include provision for twenty four car parking spaces and an additional twenty two car parking spaces.

A design team has been appointed on the development.

The development will be located on a 1.44 hectare site.
