Brett Martin Daylight Systems' Technical Sales Manager, Darragh Coleman, recently presented the company's first RIAI approved CPD seminar titled 'The Natural Choice for Natural Light' to a group of architects at Fitzgerald Kavanagh & Partners in Dublin.
Raising awareness of the benefits of natural daylight, the seminar explains how rooflights can help buildings reduce their energy consumption and meet the requirements as set out in Part L of the Building Regulations. The seminar also informs how rooflights can be specified to meet project specifications for insulation, acoustics, ventilation and light transmission, as well as meeting the architectural design vision for the project, whilst ensuring compliance with all industry requirements for safety and fire performance.
Using a range of product samples, Darragh demonstrated some of the many features and benefits that high performance rooflights and thermally efficient glazing systems can offer to the specifier.
Brett Martin's rooflights and glazing systems have been specifically developed to meet the most exacting performance requirements for thermal efficiency, light transmission and aesthetics and have been installed in a range of projects including the Killanin Stand at Galway Race Course, Castle Park School and Scoil Bhride Junior in Dublin, Holywood Exchange Retail Park in Belfast and Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick.
