Work is to get underway on the construction of a new €15 million Public Transport Bridge in the heart of Dublin City.
The scheme consists of the construction of a bridge and associated road tie-ins to carry public transport (including light rail) over a the River Liffey in the city centre.
The bridge, designed by Sean Harrington Architects comprises a single span concrete bridge, approximately 46m long and approximately 26m wide linking the north quay to the south quay of the River Liffey.
Tie-ins to both quays consisting of raising the vertical alignment locally and junction alterations are also incorporated into the project.
It is expected that project will be complete in early 2013.
