€1m School Extension Gets Going

Tenders are expected to be sought imminently for the appointment of a main contractor to undertake construction work on a €1 million extension to Scoil Colmcille in Cork City.

The project calls for the construction of a three-storey extension comprising of three new classrooms, to the existing three-storey school building.

Work on the scheme is expected to commence in late 2011 and will take in the region of five months to complete.

The development will measure 300 sq.m. and will be located on a 0.52 hectare site.
