Wexford firm Aircon Mech is celebrating €4.8 million contract towork on a multimillion euro-development in London.
Under the terms of the deal with Tyrone's McAleer & Rushe, the company will provide mechanical services during the construction and fit-out of a £90 million retail and office development on London's Baker Street.
The 20,000 square metre development by British Land Investment Group will include a basement plant area, retail units and seven floors of office space.
AirconMech will provide mechanical building services and associated electrical services. It will begin work on the year-long project next March.
"The successful awarding of a significant project on this scale comes on the back of the appointment of our new UK managing director, Seamus Murphy," said Jim Mullett, Joint Managing Director, AirconMech.
"It will no doubt provide him with a solid foundation for market expansion and a significant opportunity for the Aircon Group to develop its exporting opportunities.
"To date, we have been employing additional Irish project managers, foremen and supervisors to work on non-domestic projects and this is a model we intend on continuing."
