A mutli-million pound science park development at Belfast Harbour has been revealed.
Northern Ireland's Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has welcomed the news of a £6m development at the Northern Ireland Science Park (NISP).
The development, Concourse II has had an overwhelming reception with all units already fully let and is set to home thriving local start-ups and international firms alike. The Belfast Harbour-funded development will eventually consist of three 'Concourse' buildings that will facilitate the growth of companies in a wide range of technologies including engineering and biotech, with further investments in excess of £20m.
Science Park chairman Frank Hewitt said: "Given the challenging economic climate, we are delighted that the Northern Ireland Science Park is continuing to grow."
The minister added: "It is extremely encouraging that Concourse II is full to capacity and the need for additional space clearly shows that despite a difficult economic climate, businesses associated with NISP have been flourishing."
