Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced that a £150,000 major repair and resurfacing scheme will begin on Dromore Road in Lurgan this week.
The improvements, on the B2 between Belfast Road and Moss Road, will be carried out in two phases.
Phase one, set to begin on Monday 3 December, will last for three weeks and will see repairs to the drainage system and the reconstruction of the footpath. The road is set to reopen on Friday evening 21 December.
Phase two, expected to start on 7 January and last for two weeks, will see the full resurfacing of the same stretch of the road, with the all works complete and the road fully operational from Monday 21 January.
To help minimise disruption to road users and to meet strict Health & Safety Regulations, the road will be closed to through traffic while work is ongoing. During each phase traffic will be diverted via Springhill Road, Inn Road and Belfast Road. This diversion route will be clearly sign posted to help road users.
