A £25,000 resurfacing scheme on Commercial Road Roundabout, Banbridge, Co.Down is due to start this week.
The work is due to begin on Saturday 23 March 2013 on the roundabout at the junction of Newry Street, Newry Road, Kenlis Street and Commercial Road.
A spokesperson for Roads Service said: "Benefits of the scheme include better road drainage and improved surface at this busy intersection."
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses the majority of this work is programmed to be completed using a weekend closure, including Saturday and Sunday nights.
A full closure of the Commercial Road Roundabout will be in place from 6pm on Saturday 23 March until 6am on Monday 25 March to allow removal of the existing surface, replacing iron work and final surfacing. During this closure, a signed traffic diversion via Newry Street, A1 dual carriageway, Dromore Road and Church Square will be in place.
The scheme is expected to be completed on Monday 25 March.
