Roads Service announced the start of a £30,000 maintenance scheme at Duke Street, Londonderry next week.
The work is due to begin on Duke Street Underpass on Monday 25 March for five days. A Roads Service spokesman said: "The proposed work involves cleaning and repair work to the walls of the underpass as well as maintenance work to the drainage system. This is general maintenance work, scheduled as part of the City of Culture enhancement works."
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses, work will begin after 9.30am when a single lane will be available for Waterside bound traffic. Two lane flow traffic will be resumed after 6pm. A diversion route via the upper deck of Craigavon Bridge will be signposted.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed by Friday 29 March.
