Leasing Of Glebeside Land Approved

Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has approved the leasing of land at Glebeside in Ballymoney to Ballymoney Borough Council.

The land situated at Belford Park in the town, has been leased by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to the Council to provide a 11 aside football pitch in the area.

Minister McCausland said: "I am pleased to announce the leasing of this land to Ballymoney Borough Council. For a number of years, Glebeside Community Association has been working with the Council to improve outdoor recreational facilities in the area.

"By providing the Council with this surplus land, I hope that we can go some way to meeting the needs of the local community and improve the sports and recreational facilities in Ballymoney."
