Dublin City Council has confirmed plans to replace Grafton Street’s brick paving with new stone paving.
Planning permission has been granted and the council anticipates that work will begin in June 2013 and will be completed in approximately 14 months.
The development will see the existing brick paving replaced with new stone paving for the full width of Grafton Street and for its length from the face of the building line at St. Stephen’s Green North and South King Street to the face of the building line at the junction of Nassau Street and Suffolk Street. Plans also include the removal of street furniture and replacement with new street furniture.
The proposals include all necessary service, utility and associated site works.
Grafton Street and Environs is a designated Architectural Conservation Area and Area of Special Planning Control.
