Resurfacing Scheme In Antrim Begins

Roads Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £146,000 resurfacing scheme for Longrig Road in Antrim.

Work will begin on Tuesday 11 June and continue for two weeks between Kilcross Road and Boltnaconnell Road.

Mr Kennedy said: "The improvements will result in the overall strengthening of the road and road users will quickly realise the benefits of the new carriageway surface."

Longrig Road will be closed to daytime through traffic from Thursday 13 June to Friday 21 June to facilitate the works. During the closure all traffic will be diverted using Seven Mile Straight and Belfast Road.
