Dublin Airport is investing €4 million to upgrade the Terminal 1 multi-storey car park and offer customers a much improved product.
Block A of the T1 multi-storey car park was constructed 1991, Block B was delivered in 1993 and Block C completed in 1996. The multi-storey car park is now in need of an upgrade and refurbishment.
The upgrade will add new lighting throughout the T1 car park, improved entry and exit points to each of the blocks in the multi-storey car park, better signage and improved public areas.
The project will radically improve the customer experience in the T1 multi-storey and bring the facility more in line with modern car parking design.
Starting with Block A, construction work commenced on Monday 1st July for approximately 8 weeks with the entire project continuing on a phased basis until March 2014.
During the project, about 400 of the 2,000 spaces in the T1 car park will be out of commission at any given time. Customers who wish to park for a week or more are advised to park in the long-term Red car park.
