Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a £250,000 scheme to replace a bridge in Fermanagh.
The Minister said work will start on the Derrylaney Bridge deck replacement on the C431 Teemore Road, Tee more, Derrylin, on Monday 15 July 2013. The work is expected to be completed before 8 November 2013.
Mr Kennedy said: "An assessment of the structure has determined that it no longer meets present day loading requirements. The works will entail removal of the existing bridge deck and replacing it with a wider structure which will also accommodate carriageway widening."
To facilitate this work, it will be necessary to close the road at the bridge for 16 weeks from Monday 22 July 2013 until Friday 8 November 2013. A diversion will be signposted via A509 Belturbet Road, and B127 Ballyconnell Road and vice versa. Persons requiring access to property or lands on C431 Teemore Road will be accommodated.
Work will be carried out by Highway Barrier Solutions, on behalf of Roads Service.
